• Comics
  • United Media have a large selection. Though I only read a subset.
  • And in the world of web-only comics, things such as Sluggy Freelance, ,, and 8-Bit Theater.
  • Also much of the content housed on - a (partly) pay-site for a host of webcomic authors. It's a pretty good deal; see here for fuller details. (Now including graphicsmash.com and girlamatic.com).
• Informational stuff
  • The BBC News
  • Slashdot: News for nerds, stuff that matters
  • Today's (UK, terrestrial) telly listings
  • PC / console games information at GameSpot and GameSpy.

Places I go:

• talker, a talker (conceptually) for Acorn-related chat (connect)
• Paradise, a ew-too talker (connect)
